Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ricky Ricciardi 88, of Atlantic City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 29th after a brief illness. Anthony, also known as Ricky by all who knew him, was born in Atlantic City and lived there all of his life. In 1955, he met the love of his life, Antoinette, by chance when she was vacationing in the city. They fell in love and married shortly thereafter. Ricky and Antoinette recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Ricky worked for 45 years as a restaurant server in various hotels and casinos in the city and was well known at The Strand Motel and Restaurant. His most recent job was working at the White House Sub Shop for the past 25 years where he worked up until a few weeks ago. Although most would be retired at his age, Ricky never stopped working until he recently became ill. Ricky's passion was fishing in the back bays, especially with his son, son-in-law and dearest friend Paul Maccagnano. He is now up in heaven fishing with Jesus! Ricky is predeceased by his mother Emelia, father Joseph Ricciardi and sister Marie Goldberg. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Antoinette; children Joseph Ricciardi (Marji) and Maria Nakeshian (Bob); grandchildren Gabrielle Ricciardi (Nico), Bobby Nakeshian, Malea Ricciardi; great grandchild Nikolaos Moudatsos and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Ricky Ricciardi 11:00am Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. Michaels Church 10 North Mississippi Avenue, Atlantic City. Relatives are invited to his viewing from 9:00am until 11:00am in the Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at the Atlantic City Cemetery in Pleasantville following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ricky's name to: St. Michaels Church Preservation Society. Arrangement by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, AC.
