Obituary of Jim Garron

Please share a memory of Jim to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
"Jim" Garron 70 of Absecon, passed away on June 25th after long illness. Born at home in Mount Holly on August 2, 1947, the 10th of 16 children, Jim was the last surviving child of Walter and Ida Garron. Jim as he was affectionately called, was a proud member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years. He was a strong voice for labor and the working person. If you needed help, he was a phone call away. Jim volunteered his time and talents to people and organizations too numerous to mention. He was especially happy to aid the GABF tournament, Stockton Newman Center and organizations helping children. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Kasey Elizabeth Mathews and his great friends Nate Gainer, Bobby Goller and Fr. Jeff Burton, SJ. Husband of Elizabeth Angel Doran, special uncle to many nieces, nephews, grands and greats. He called them his princesses and pirates and always had treats for them. He loved his family: nuclear, extended, in-laws, and out-laws - even those who did not return his love and respect. Special thanks to Dr. Jodi Abramowitz and staff Linda and Chrissy, AtlantiCare and Health Center of Galloway. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Jim Garron 11:00am Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church 603 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon. Friends may call at the church from 9:30am until time of Mass. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, AC.
