Tom LaRocco 82, Absecon (formerly of Atlantic City) passed away June 20, 2018. LaRocca, as he was fondly referred to, graduated from Atlantic City High School Class of 1954. Was a proud Viking and played football for the blue and white. LaRocca retired from the White House Sub Shop after 54 years. LaRocca was an avid Flyers fan and was able to enjoy many games with his family. He was most happy spending time with his family, playing pool, bingo, horse racing, classic cars, and belonged to the Al-Ki Club. LaRocca was a very caring soul and a great friend. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tom is predeceased by his wife, Marie (Peterson) and his parents Millie & George; brother Phil "Mousie"; and daughter Kathy. Tom is survived by his children, sons Tom Peterson (Donna), Tony Peterson (James), Bobby Peterson (Lyn); daughters Deanne Peterson Senft, Maryanne LaRocca Strang and Janet Lynn; his grandson Tommy Peterson and granddaughters Gabby & Emilee; LaRocca also leaves behind friends especially his longtime companion Gloria Brosky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Tom LaRocca 10:30am Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at St. Michaels Church, 10 N. Mississippi Avenue in Atlantic City. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 8:30am until Mass at 10:30am in Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery route 40 in Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Our Lady's Residence, 1100 Clematis Avenue Pleasantville NJ 08232. Funeral arrangements are by Gormley Funeral Home LLC, AC..
