Gerald "Jerry" 82 of Ventnor City, passed away at home on June 3, 2018, in the loving care of his companion, Marianne Highland. We are comforted knowing he is now in a world free of pain, and at peace in the arms of his beloved son Todd.
Jerry grew up in Pennsylvania and settled in Rochester, New York where he raised his family and built a career as a Senior Forensic Investigator. Jerry vacationed frequently in Florida where he found the sunshine, warmth and lifestyle suited him best. It was there he met Marianne, the love of his life and companion of 23 years. They shared homes in Ventnor and Cape Coral, gathering treasured friendships along the way. Jerry was predeceased by his son Todd. He is survived by his cherished companion, Marianne Bassford Highland, his children Dawn, David (Linda) and Jerry (Mary Beth); granddaughter Nicole and Marianne's family. Services will be private. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, AC.
