Obituary of Victor J. Capone

Victor J. Capone - 64, of Atlantic City, NJ passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 after a recent illness. Born and raised in Absecon, Victor attended Pleasantville High School and Stockton College. As a young man, he spent many hours clamming and fishing the back bays of Absecon Island. Throughout his life, Victor remained close to the area and especially enjoyed living in Atlantic City. He was a great fan of the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers. He was formerly a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 825. Just over ten years ago, Victor married the love of his life, Lin Yang. Victor and Lin were the perfect couple, always finding time for adventures such as travel to many destinations throughout the country. They made trips to China that were fun, exciting and resulted in a few hilarious stories. Victor is predeceased by his parents, Carmen and Laurel Capone, and his brother, Kevin Capone. He is survived by his wife, Lin Yang, brother Chris Capone (Peggy), sister-in-law, Anne Marie Capone, nieces Mary Kay Grout, Connie and Catherine Capone, nephews Danny and Matthew Capone. Victor leaves behind many good friends and neighbors in the Atlantic City area. He was a regular commuter on the AC boardwalk, a knowledgebase for local happenings, enjoyed music immensely, played guitar whenever possible and could deliver a mean spin-shot in tennis. His greatest qualities of all were the calm, gentle approach he had with everyone he came in contact with and an undeniable loyalty to his family The family would like to thank the emergency responders, ACPD and EMT, AtlanticCare City Campus and especially the CVU staff of ARMC Mainland Campus. Services will be held on Saturday, June 9th, at the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, 2706 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, N,J from 12 to 2pm.
