Helen "Carol" Wagener 75 of Pleasantville, passed suddenly Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Carol was born to Helen "Kay" Osborne (Sapp) and Earl Baker in a maternity hospital in Northfield, NJ during WWII on September 7, 1942. She began her primary school years in Pleasantville then completed grade school in Margate City. Carol graduated from Atlantic City High Class of 1961. Throughout the years she had many places of employment; the first one being best bottle collector in P'ville as a child; then at the Wheaton Glass Factory, the Housing Authority in Atlantic City; Local 54 Union Banquet Waitress; Garwood Mills Shopping Center in the Inlet of Atlantic City; the Ranch House Restaurant on the AC boardwalk, and Genuardi's. She was also the owner/operator of Wagener's Enterprises which was a demonstration sales company that pitched products on the boardwalk in Atlantic City and at trade shows in the 1970's. She was also an antique dealer, and Auction Colonel. In her later years she produced and hosted the Christian Science Bible lesson on TV - local Channel 40. All her life she was a devout Christian Scientist. She attended the First Church of Christ Scientist, of Atlantic City. She loved God and she loved the church. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family. She was an inspiration to us all! We were truly blessed to have her in our lives. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Leon R. Wagener; her parents Helen Osborne and Earl Baker; and brothers Floyd and George Osborne. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Keith Bishop of Northfield; grandchildren Merritt Bishop (Amanda D'Agostino) of Honey Brook , PA., and Miranda Bishop (David Weeks) of Brooklyn, NY; great-grandchildren Maxedan Bishop and Kyle D'Agostino of Honey Brook, PA., and the Osborne Family of Margate City, NJ. A Memorial Service Celebrating Carol's life will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Veteran's Park on Oak Avenue, Northfield, NJ Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, AC.
