Gavol ""G"" Matani Obituary

GAVOL A. MATANI (AKA-"G") 62 of Atlantic City, passed away after a brief battle with cancer.



Gavol was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where he made many lifelong friends before relocating to AtlanticCity where he started his career in the Casino Industry. He worked at the Trump Plaza for more than 20 years making many friends along the way before moving on to the Revel/Ocean Resort where he worked up until his illness.



Gavol made a lasting impression on everyone that he met, his friends were not just friends, they were family, not by blood, but by heart. He will be missed by so many people, the list is endless.



Gavol is predeceased by his father Carl L. Matani; his mother Bonnie L. Matani (Horsey); his brother John Marvin Howell; and his devoted furbaby Max. He is survived by his loving sister Deneen Matani; nieces Brooklyn and Gabriella Pagliaro and Shannon Howell; nephew Shawn Howell and his little buddy & sidekick Petey as well as many other extended family menbers and friends.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Gavol A. Matani 11:00am Monday, January 13, 2025 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 2651 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. Relatives and friends are invited to begin gathering at the church from 9:00am. Interment will be private and at a later date. Arranagements by the Gormley Funeral Home Home/AC.
