Joseph V Voci, age 50, left us suddenly on May 7, 2023. Joey was born on May 31, 1972, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He attended Absecon Public Schools before moving to Brick Township, where he graduated from Brick Township High School in 1990. After, Joey enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, graduating Boot Camp with honors, carried the guidon flag, led his platoon, and earned the rank of PFC. He also earned the Rifle Badge of Sharpshooter. His great love of country led him to proudly continue serving in the Marine Reserve for five additional years. At his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps he had attained the rank of Sergeant E-5. After leaving the Marine Corps he entered into the roofing/siding business. Joey was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan, with a fond admiration for Aaron Rodgers. Joey was especially known for his quick wit and good-natured spirit. He had the unique ability to make people laugh, regardless of a situation. He was always up for having fun with the people he loved. Joey is predeceased by his grandparents, Fuzzy and Kay Santoro, Joseph and Frances Voci, stepfather, Michael Spalluto, Aunt Frances(Chubby)Fox and Uncles Matthew Fox, Charles Connor and Mario Bongiovanni. Joey sadly leaves behind his loving mother, Susan Spalluto of Brick Township and father, Joseph Voci,(Susan) of Absecon, his siblings Gregory Voci (Tara), Stephanie Krause (Danielle), Kassandra Spalluto-Roman (Carlos), Angelo Spalluto (Jackie), and Mike Spalluto; Aunts Marie Connor, Carmen Bongiovanni, and Joyce Mickles (Linda), Uncles Gregory Voci (Jeannine), Ralph Santoro (Becky), Michael Santoro (Fran) also including many cousins, nieces and nephews who adored him, especially his niece Ariana Voci, who held a special place in Joey's heart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Joseph Vincent Voci 12:00noon Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 2651 Atlantic Avenue , Atlantic City. New Jersey. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am until time of Mass. Internment Services are Private at the request of his family.
