GUENTHER, JAMES A. Jr., 83 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 5, 2023. Jim was born July 6, 1939 in Atlantic City, NJ and lived in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ for the last 50years. Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving as Battalion Police NCO, H&S Co. 2nd Anti-Tank Battalion, stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Jim owned through the years, Bo- Kay Flowers in Margate and Fleur De Lis in Atlantic City, NJ. He also worked for EGS Associates as a soil technician and had his own landscaping business. Jim's greatest joy was being with his family and friends, working on his yard and giving his grandkids tractor rides. Jim was a kind, loving soul and will be deeply missed. Jim is predeceased by his mother Ella Murphy, his father James A Guenther Sr.; his sister Alice Paoletto, twin sisters Marion Goldstein and Emma Bruner. He is survived by his sister Ella Murphy. Jim is survived by his wife Liz (nee Lenard) of 35 years, his children Marie Guenther and Patricia Sykes and Kristin Babar (Yasir).He is predeceased by his son Jimmy Guenther III (JIMBO).Grandchildren Christina Sciarretta (Andrew), Michael Coover, Jimmie Guenther IV, Marie Ravindran (KAP), Aaliyah, Alayna and Ava Babar and nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to share in Jim's Life Celebration on Sunday, May 14th, from 10:00am to 12:00noon at the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, 2706 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
