Obituary of Dennis M. Mason

Dennis M. Mason 77 of Atlantic City, NJ passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023 at home with his family by his side. Dennis was born in Philadelphia, PA. on December 29, 1945 and lived most of his life in Atlantic City. He worked for the AC Water Company before proudly joining the Atlantic City Police Department, retiring after 25 years of service. After his retirement, he worked for the CRDA in security. Dennis was elected 5th Ward Councilman where he proudly served for 12 years. Dennis is predeceased by his parents who raised him Edward and Marguerite Oldfield as well as the love of his life for 53 years, Carol (nee Klepacz) Mason. He is survived by his loving son Kevin (Rosa) of Galloway; his caretaker and daughter Reenie of Atlantic City; his devoted sister-in-law Patti Klepacz (Ray); his brother Michael and sister Eileen Barton; his grandchildren Taylor, Tyler, Connor, Kevin, Vanessa, Michaela and Jordan as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis had many special friends including his cousins Tom and Karen Gitto who became his personal Chefs and Chauffeurs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Dennis Mason 11:00am Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 2651 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with his family from 9:00am at the Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery 5061 Harding Highway (Route 40), Mays Landing, following Mass. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC 2706 Atlantic Avenue, AC.
