Pedro Mario Alvarez Nunez 90, of Atlantic City, NJ passed away peacefully at home where he has lived during his last years, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 26, 1932 in Concepcion Del Progreso, Putla Villa De Guerrero, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Pedro was a hard working father, responsible and attentive to his family, a great musician and leader in his community. He liked to play the violin and saxophone and enjoyed watching soccer and boxing.

He is predeceased by his parents Pedro Alvarez Valasquez and Juana Nunez Mayoral. He is survived by his wife Gabriela Elvia Martinez Serra and their children; Hector, Abel, Enor, Rigoberto, Edaena and Eric.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Pedro Alvarez 11:00am Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 2651 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City. Relatives and friends may attend his viewing Wednesday evening February 1, 2023 from 6-7pm at the Gormley Funeral Home LLC 2706 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City and again on Wednesday from 10:00am at the church before Mass.
