Obituary of Rose Marie D'Arcangelo

Rose Marie (ROE) (nee Iaconelli) 70 of Egg Harbor Township, wife, mother, Mom Mom, sister, aunt and friend, went to Heaven on August 17, 2022. Family was everything to Roe. She devoted her life to her family and was happiest when surrounded by them. Sundays won't be the same as that is the one day we knew we'd all be together at mom & dad's house for our weekly family dinner. Roe was born and raised in the Ducktown section of Atlantic City. She attended St. Michael's Grammar School and Holy Spirit High School. She met the love of her life, Robert, at the age of 16 in the summer of 1969 when he was staying at "the shore" for the summer with his family from South Philly. They married in 1972 and were blessed with two wonderful sons, Robert and Marc. Roe worked for the County of Atlantic, as the Secretary to the County Executive, retiring after 41 years of service. After her retirement, she volunteered at Meadowview Nursing Home until the pandemic hit. Roe was pre-deceased by her parents, Dominick and Rose Marie (Sincavage) Iaconelli, her sister Donna Marie (Iaconelli) DeFeo and her first grandchild, Nicholas (stillborn). She is survived by her loving life partner and best friend, husband Robert; her cherished sons, Robert (Michelle) and Marc; her beloved 3 granddaughters: Samantha, Abigale and Julianna D'Arcangelo; her loving sister Mary Jane (Iaconelli) Malia; sister in-law and brother in-law Carol (D'Arcangelo) and David Schramm; brother in-law Dane DeFeo; nephews Michael (Madeline) Malia, Stephen (Jaclyn) Malia: Dane (Danielle) DeFeo, Nick (Beth) DeFeo; niece Christine (Jason) Lambert, several grand nieces and nephews and her beloved Pug, Maggie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Rose Marie D'Arcangelo 12Noon THURSDAY, August 25, 2022 at St. Michael's Church 10 North Mississippi Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ (parking in rear of church off Georgia Avenue). Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:45am in the Church. Following Mass, the Rite of Committal will be offered at the Atlantic City Cemetery, located as Routes 9 and the Black Horse Pike, Pleasantville, NJ 08232. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to: The AtlantiCare Foundation Cancer Institute at 2500 English Creek Avenue, Bld. 600, Ste. 602, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. www.atlanticare.org/giving.
