Michael J. McMonagle 58 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 following a brief illness. Michael was born in Atlantic City on July 6, 1963 to Margaret (Hercules) and Joseph McMonagle. He attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Grammar School, Atlantic City High School and graduated from Glassboro State College Michael loved growing up near the beach and boardwalk and of course loved the Eagles and Phillies. But his true passion was writing and playing music. Michael worked in the casino industry as a dealer and floor person . During his time in the casino industry , he earned the nickname "Smiling Mike". While working at Borgata, Michael enjoyed participating in the employees talent shows and was always willing to shave his head for the St. Baldrick's Fundraisers. He was lastly employed at the Ocean Casino. Michael was predeceased by his parents; brothers Joseph McMonagle and Kevin McMonagle and niece Jennifer McMonagle. He is survived and will be missed by his wife Stephanie (Wagner); sisters Jenny Darnell (Joe), Peggy McMonagle, Tracy Talley (Joe); nieces Morgan McMonagle, Dana Weschler (Adam), Christine Darnell, Stacy Spalding (Steve), Cassidy Ross, Abby Talley; and nephews Joseph McMonagle and Joseph Talley; childhood friend Ben Gonzales; and his dog Desi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Michael 11:00am Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 2651 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
