James Patrick Huebner Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and close friends on May 8, 2021. Jim was born and raised in Atlantic City and was a Graduate of Holy Spirit HS Class of 1968. Jim served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and served 2 years active duty on the USS San Diego during the Vietnam War era. Jim proudly served with the men and women in BLUE on the Atlantic City Police Department for over 25 years until he retired. Jim is predeceased by his parents Florence and James Huebner, wife Wendy Huebner (nee Rooney) and his son Jay. He is survived by his two loving daughters Kelly ( Bill ),Kimberly(Tim); his cherished grandchildren Tristan aka Moe, Brooke aka Brookster, and Denny aka Flipper. Jims' family was his life, spending time with them gave him the most joy. He was extremely proud of his oldest grandson Tristan who just completed the Crucible and is now a United States Marine in Infantry training. Jim will be missed by everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his witty sarcastic humor. If you truly knew Jim you couldn't help but love him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Jim Huebner 10am Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 2651 Atlantic Ave. AC. Following Mass the Rite of Committal will be offered at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 NJ-50 South, Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105. Our Lady Star of the Sea Church protocols of Masks and social distancing in church will be observed. Receiving of mourner by the family will occur in front of the church before Mass then they may enter church and be seated for the 10:00am Mass.
