Obituary of Betty Janel

Betty was born and raised in Atlantic City, where she attended public school and graduated from Atlantic City High School. She and her family owned Janel's Seashore Restaurant, on Mississippi and Atlantic Avenues, for many years. Betty loved to travel, and toured many countries, as well as her beloved United States. But no matter where she was, you could always count on her having a martini to top off the evening. Betty is predeceased by her parents, Georgia (Makris) and James Janel, and her brother Peter. She leaves behind many godchildren, good friends, and her beloved pet Mika. Services for Betty will be held on Tuesday January 19, 2021at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 7004 Ridge Ave. in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Friends may call from 11am to 12noon at the Church, followed by a private service for family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society P.O.
