BOYLE, JAMES A. "Milt", 84 of Margate, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Milt was born on January 24, 1940 and that is when his story began…
He was raised in Atlantic City and attended Holy Spirit High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country.
Upon leaving the service, Milt returned to Atlantic City where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann. They were married for 57 years and lived in Ventnor where they raised their three children. In their retirement, they moved to Margate.
Milt was a proud member of the Atlantic City Fire Department for 27 years. He also owned a carpentry business where many called on him because he was undoubtedly a "jack of all trades".
Milt was predeacesed by his wife Mary Ann (Furneisen). He is also preceded in death by his mother Anne Regina; all of his siblings and his best friend, Jerry Johnston. Milt was truly the last of the Mohicans.
He is survived by his sons Dan (Karen), Dennis (Roberta); his daughter Debbie (Scott); his grandchildren Gary (Melanie), Danny, Nicholas (Jaimie), Steven, Dan and Annie; and his great grandchildren Raelyn and Avery. He is also survived by his brother in law James Furneisen (AnnaMarie) and many nieces and nephews.
Milt will be terribly missed by many, his wit and wisdom was surpassed by none.
At his request and the threat of haunting his children for eternity, internment is private.
There will be a celebration of Milt's life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project or Shriners Hospital for Children.
