SCHIPSI, ALFRED P. Jr. 96 of Margate, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Fred was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he was a Temple University alumnus and was a lifelong resident of Absecon Island. As a Veteran of the United States Navy, he prided himself for serving as Pharmacist on board the USS Auburn during WWII, and his accomplishments as owner of the Chalfonte Pharmacy in the Chalfonte-Haddon Hall and Resorts Casino Hotel, both in Atlantic City. Fred is predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Anna (nee Tronieri) Schipsi, his wife Ella (nee Mink) Schipsi and his two younger sisters, Marie Schipsi and Gloria Carroll (nee Schipsi). He is survived by his two daughters Charlene Baang (Rodney) and Theresa Wade (Bobbie); his four granddaughters Christina Baang, Jennifer Baang Miller (Andrew), and Leigh-Ann and Keanna Wade; and one great-granddaughter Emma Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Alfred P. Schipsi, Jr. 11:00am Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Holy Trinity Parish - Blessed Sacrament Church, Jerome and Ventnor Avenues, Margate City, NJ. Relatives and friends may gather at the church for his viewing from 10:00am until the Mass. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays landing, NJ following Mass.
