Obituary of Marie Sacco Sutton

Marie S. Sutton (nee Sacco) of Absecon, passed away on December 21, 2017. She was 67 years old and born in Atlantic City on August 25, 1950 to the late Ralph and Marion Sacco and was an area resident all her life. Marie was a "Day One" employee of Resorts Casino and also worked for several years at the Tropicana Casino as a Cage Shift Manager. After retiring from the Casino industry, Marie spent many happy years managing the Absecon branch of Sack-O'-Subs, where her ever present smile and sweet personality touched the lives of so many people, employees and customers alike. Marie loved to travel and she loved to shop! But most of all she loved her family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; brother Petey Sacco; and her sisters Tracie Sacco and Kathy Sturgill. She leaves behind to mourn: her husband John of Absecon; brothers Fred (Patty) Sacco of Galloway, Tony Sacco of Bozeman, Montana; sisters Vickie (Joe) DeRosa of Chicago Illinois, Maryanne Strang (Frank) of Egg Harbor Township and Janet LaRocca (Anthony Previti) of Somers Point; her uncle Anthony "Fuzzy" (Rosemary) Sacco of Margate; aunt Mary (Brian) Conley of Pomona. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved as if they were her own children, as well as many cousins and friends. "Aunt ReRe" is also survived by the joys of her life, her Grand -Nephews and Grand-Nieces, who filled her world with love and happiness. "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings," We know our dear Marie will forever be our Christmas Angel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Marie Sacco Sutton 11am Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Michael's Church 10 North Mississippi Avenue Atlantic City. Her viewing will begin at 9am at the Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery Route 40 Mays Landing NJ 08330, following Mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to: Humane Society of Atlantic County 1401 Absecon Blvd. Atlantic City NJ 08401 or to the Charity of one's choice.
